Privacy policy

This is a working draft describing current practice. It must be checked against GDPR and your local requirements — and updated to name your actual payment and email providers — before you sell to the public.

The short version

This site has no advertising trackers, no third-party analytics profile, and no mailing list you did not ask to join. What you type into the contact form becomes an email to one person, and that is all it becomes.

What the website collects

If you use the contact form on the support page, we receive the name, email address, topic and message you entered. If you send a custom-build brief, we receive the name, email address, project type, budget band, timeline and description. Either way it is used to answer you and for nothing else.

Both are delivered as email through Resend to a single inbox, and kept only as long as the enquiry is live. There is no ticketing system and no CRM behind them.

The site is hosted on Vercel, which records ordinary server request logs including IP addresses. Those are used to keep the site running and to limit form abuse. Form submissions are rate limited by IP address for the same reason, which is held in memory only and never written down.

What buying collects

Payment is handled by Stripe or by PayPal, whichever you choose at checkout. Card and PayPal account details are entered on their systems and are never seen by, or stored on, this site. Each has its own privacy policy, and the one covering your payment is theirs: Stripe and PayPal.

From them we receive your email address, your name, the product bought, and the country used for tax purposes, so that a licence can be issued and a receipt sent. Receipts and licence emails are delivered through Resend, the same way form messages are.

Licence records are kept with the payment at Stripe rather than in a database of our own: your email address, and the machine code of each computer you activate. A machine code is a scrambled value derived from your computer's hardware ID; it identifies that computer to the licence and reveals nothing else about it. Each licence file carries the licensee name and machine code, and stays on your computer.

What the apps collect

The desktop and NinjaTrader applications keep your data on your own machine. Trade records, journals, backup contents and settings are never uploaded.

The Trade Journal for NinjaTrader 8 makes no network calls at all. It has no licence check and no update check, so your record of your own trading has no route off the computer it was written on.

No app sold here validates a licence over the network. A licence is a signed file your own computer verifies, so there is no activation call to make and no machine identifier sent anywhere.

Where an app makes any network call at all it is an update check, which sends the current version number and nothing else. A future version of an app may validate its licence through a third-party activation service, such as the one NinjaTrader operates for its vendors; if one does, its product page will say so before you buy it, and this policy will be updated to name the service. No network call in any app sends the contents of your files or reports what you do inside it.

What is never done

Your email address is not sold, rented or shared with advertisers. Your data is not used to train anything. Nobody reads your journal entries or your backups.

Your rights

You can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, by writing to support@moligon.com. Deleting purchase records may mean a licence can no longer be re-issued to you, and we will say so before acting.
